Vanishing of Drude Weight in Interacting Fermions on $${\mathbb Z}^d$$ with Quasi-Periodic Disorder

چکیده
We consider a fermionic many body system in Zd with short range interaction and quasi-periodic disorder. In the strong disorder regime assuming Diophantine condition on frequencies chemical potential, we prove at $T=0$ exponential decay of correlations vanishing Drude weight, signaling Anderson localization ground state. The proof combines Ward Identities, Renormalization Group KAM Lindstedt series methods.

متن کاملDielectric Response of the Interacting 1D Spinless Fermions with Disorder
Dielectric responces of the one-dimentional electron system is investigated numerically. We treat an interacting one-dimentional spinless fermion model with disorder by using the Density Matrix Renormalization Group(DMRG) method which is extended for nonuniform systems. We apply an electric field E to the system and calculate dielectric responces. Dielectric responce of the Mott insulator and t...
متن کاملLocalization in interacting fermionic chains with quasi-random disorder
We consider a system of fermions with a quasi-random almost-Mathieu disorder interacting through a many-body short range potential. We establish exponential decay of the zero temperature correlations, indicating localization of the interacting ground state, for weak hopping and interaction and almost everywhere in the frequency and phase; this extends the analysis in [17] to chemical potentials...
متن کاملInteracting fermions :
Most materials are either metals or insulators. When they are metals, their electronic properties are usually described by Landau's Fermi liquid theory. That is, they behave more or less like a free Fermi gas, with a few modifications due to electron-electron interactions. However, there exist a few metallic materials whose phenomenology does not fit within Fermi liquid theory. These are quasi-...
متن کاملDynamics of heavy fermions: Drude response in UPd2Al3 and UNi2Al3
While the effective mass of heavy fermions governs their thermodynamics, the optical properties are dominated by the characteristic relaxation rate which is expected to scale inversely with the effective mass. At the relaxation rate clear features, the so-called Drude response occur in the real and imaginary parts of the complex conductivity. Conventional optical spectroscopy can only indirectl...
